Casio Digital Piano History

Casio started in the digital instrument industry back in 1980. In that year, the brand released its first-ever electronic keyboard that was called the Casiotone 201. It was an instrument well-known to be fairly priced while still staying compact. The Casiotone 201 was able to play sounds from various instruments and was loved by artists and music lovers all over the world.  The company subsequently developed advanced features possible only through the use of digital instrument technology. These features included a one-touch auto-accompaniment, memory capacity capable of recording and replaying songs, auto-play, a melody guide function that assists users throughout a song by keys that light up, and sampling technology for recording all sounds for the utilization of a sound source. Casio extended its company by manufacturing numerous instruments for artists and music lovers around the globe. This expansion included digital drum kits, guitars, and wind instruments. Recently, the company has been exerting efforts in expanding the admiration of people toward digital pianos.

Casio Privia PX-S3000 User Reviews

Michael Folsom from Minooka, IL (review on sweetwater): “Bought this as a student piano for my kids. Hammer action is good, and the concert grand sounds great, especially with the surround effect turned on. You can get quite a bit of volume out of the onboard speakers without much distortion, and it is amazingly portable. Have a microfiber cloth and some alcohol around if you want to keep it clean. If you are planning to travel with it, you must buy the matching case. The triple pedal unit and piano fit like a glove. ”

Daniel Vandenberg from Hadley, Michigan (review on sweetwater): “If there’s one thing that this coronavirus pandemic has taught me it’s patience. Of course, I was anxious to get my order like everyone else. But I didn’t want to complain too much because after all, it’s free shipping. But as my frustration grew, even knowing that Sweetwater staff were working from home with maybe not the best connections and that they were running a limited Warehouse staff, telling them to get jamming on my order was probably not the best thing to say to a bunch of musicians. Even Amazon Prime’s two-day shipping is taking 2 weeks. But it got here and we’re jamming now. We’re just doing it on messenger, Facebook live, YouTube and email.

Casio Privia PX-870 User Reviews

Lawrence Matarrese From Aurora, Colorado (Review on sweetwater): “The Privia Px-870, for the money, is a great possibility for the beginners and intermediate students. The attack and sustain of each note are somewhat lacking, and adjustments are difficult and tedious. The sampling of the stored tones is somewhat lacking as well. It is definitely the budget model.”

Casio CT-X5000 User Reviews

Kayanda Eddings from Suisun City, California (review on sweetwater): “Awesome keyboard. I owned many different Casio keyboards but this one tops them all. The only thing that I can’t do since I’m visually impaired is edit, and do other things. But I enjoy playing with it. I will buy from this company again by the way.”

Denny Pezzin from California, a professional one-man band for 42 years (review on Sweetwater): “The New Casio CT-X 5000 Is Extremely good For The Price I actually just thought I’d “try” this new keyboard as it was so affordable and the video on Sweetwater”s site showed it extremely well. I didn’t expect “Casio” to have such a professional sound or be so user-friendly for my “love application.” Great sounds, easy to use, low cost, and ideal for live performance. My only disappointment was that it didn’t function with any of my other keyboard sustain pedals. A Casio sustain pedal had to be ordered separately.”
