In this article, I will be exploring the different Williams digital pianos currently available. It includes a brief history of Williams digital pianos, followed by a comparison table of the different models, and then a detailed review of each model in case you want to learn more about any in particular.

Williams Digital Piano History

In contrast to various early-American piano firms that began by creating organs and eventually shifted their attention to just producing pianos, the Williams Piano & Organ Co. maintained manufacturing their original flagship product throughout their company’s existence. The Corporation, JW Williams was founded in 1855 and was the forerunner to The Williams Piano & Organ. They then established a company called Williams Piano in 1899, and later built a factory in Chicago. In the year 1875, the firm manufactured a new six-story fireproof structure following the great Chicago fire. This new massive, state-of-the-art factory located on Fullerton Avenue in Chicago was where they produce both their pianos and reed organs. Afterward, Williams had a reputation for producing high-quality instruments that lasted a long time. Williams & Sons, Epworth, and Pennington were among the companies that manufactured pianos and organs. By 1932, the company had gone out of business mainly due to the wake of the Great Depression.

Kimberly R. from the United States (review on Amazon): “Only had to return our first order since we ordered the incorrect model. Josh was amazing! Because he noticed that it was already on its way back, he paid for return postage and issued a refund. Customer service is a twenty on a scale of ten. The keyboard was well-made. Would’ve kept it if our daughter, the family pianist, hadn’t requested a different model. Don’t be hesitant to place an order!!!!”

Allegro III User Reviews:

Rachel from California (review on Guitar Center): “I’m delighted I bought it since I had no idea how much I’d enjoy playing the piano. I needed something with 88 weighted keys at a low price, and this fit the bill. The sound options are restricted, but I wasn’t concerned about that. For this piano, the single cross brace stand that came with the set was insufficient. If you don’t get the wooden one made for this, you’ll have a lot of wobbles. It’s a big piano, but I expected that from a piano with all 88 keys, and I’m not planning on taking it anywhere; it’ll stay in my music room. I haven’t had any issues so far. This piano comes highly recommended by me.”

Rhapsody III User Reviews:

Imperial from Wilmington Delaware (review on Guitar Center): “It’s ideal for late-night pianists. I recently relocated and desired a piano for our bedroom. Because I live with folks who work different shifts, this piano allows me to play quietly with headphones late at night while I’m still awake. Very realistic.”

James from Knoxville Tennessee (review on Guitar Center): “It sounds EXACTLY like an acoustic piano! It was really simple to put together! It looks and sounds exactly like a genuine piano. It was a terrific deal, but the hollow plastic feet would have irritated me at full price. (Imagine a Rubbermaid dresser without the wheels.) Even so, most people won’t notice after it’s put together.”

Brioso User Reviews:

Azpianonews.com review: “The Brioso has non-piano instrument sounds like strings, organ, and choir, as well as recording choices, a song library, and other useful features. In addition, there is an LCD panel that allows you to see which functions you are utilizing, which is something that many digital pianos in this price range lack. But none of this matters if the instrument can’t let you play the piano properly and make it sound like a piano, even at the most basic levels. The Williams Brioso and its twin brother, the Overture 2, are not recommended. In this price range, there are a plethora of better options. Yes, both pianos have that attractive polished ebony finish that most other digital pianos in this price range lack, and that’s what most people are drawn to, but that finish is also thin and scratches easily in my experience. You’ll only have to decide whether you’re ready to forgo a fantastic piano playing experience on another digital piano in exchange for the Brioso’s nice-looking shiny black finish.”

Where can I buy a Brioso:

You can purchase the Williams Brioso at any Williams accredited dealerships/retailers and instrument stores near your location. You can also purchase the Brioso on online platforms such as Amazon, Guitar Center, Musician’s Friend, Music & Arts, and Woodwind Brasswind where they will deliver the product at your doorsteps.

Overture III Colors and Finishes

The Williams Overture III comes in two color variants and finishes the Black and the Gloss Red Mahogany finish.

Overture III User Reviews:

Anna from the United States (review on Amazon): “This is an excellent substitute for a real piano! This digital piano is simple to assemble ( it comes in two boxes). Doesn’t look bad, and it’s a lot of fun to play. Our piano teacher claimed it was a great piano (he’s been playing for a long time) and that he knows what he’s talking about. My children adore it; my 10-year-old son plays with it regularly (seems so much more interested than she was with just a keyboard)… There is a book that contains approximately 50 distinct melodies. There are approximately 50 songs pre-programmed, volume control, metronome, pedal, memory, and other features. Overall, it is a really beautiful piano. This stuff has made me very happy! Definitely a 5-star rating!”

Lurker from the United States (review on Amazon): “It’s still going strong! After over six years of use, it’s still doing well. It’s fantastic. It is an excellent digital piano that does not take up a lot of room. The MIDI ports and pedals are excellent additions.”

Symphony Grand Colors and Finishes:

The Williams Symphony Grand comes in two color variants and finishes the elegant Ebony/Black and the Gloss Red Mahogany finish.

Symphony Grand User Reviews:

Antonio M. Valisno from the United States (review on Amazon): “It sounds like a real acoustic grand piano. I recently purchased the Williams Symphony Grand Digital Piano online, and due to its weight, it was shipped curb to curb (200lb plus). I put it together, and the artistry and quality of the piano are absolutely outstanding. The holes for the legs and support bar are all lined up with the screws, the finish is beautiful, and the sound is wonderful. It sounds like a real acoustic grand piano, even down to the cushioning sound from the keys and pedals, and you can even pull it out to make it sound like the actual thing. The piano has multiple speakers and a subwoofer at the bottom that gives it a realistic sound. This digital grand piano is the best on the market and is reasonably priced.”

Symphony Grand II User Reviews:

Malchi from Missouri (review on Guitar Center): “Beyond my expectations! This piano is genuinely excellent; it compares in every way to my $20,000 Yamaha grand pianos. The action is the best I’ve ever seen; the sound is so flawless that it’s even more beautiful in person, and the features are incredible; I can’t say enough about it.”

Randy N from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (review on Guitar Center): “I was searching for a baby grand piano for my living room and found this one. Because the acoustic baby grand was too large, I began looking at Clavinova and digital baby grand pianos. This one is perfect. It has a terrific sound and is a lovely piece of furniture. The finish is flawless. I don’t utilize every sound. For that, I have sample libraries and synthesizers. The piano tones are excellent. This piano comes highly recommended by me.”

Symphony Concert

Indicative Price: $3,199.99

The Symphony Concert, Williams’ flagship digital grand piano, captures attention in any environment. The full-sized grand piano includes unrivaled instrument sounds, an eight-speaker sound system, a 7-inch color touchscreen, and a superior Fatar graded keybed for the ultimate piano performance experience for the customer and a high-profit margin for the business. Because the Symphony Concert makes use of Whole Note Technology for unlooped piano samples, a chord choruses and evolves spontaneously as the music goes away. The result is a piano that is more realistic and delightful to play than ones that rely on looping samples. Its unparalleled instrument library includes an “unlooped” piano sample, which was captured for the natural duration of each note, as well as multilayered dynamics and a completely emotive grand piano sound. You can find and play practically any instrument with 172 sounds, including piano, brass, ethnic, percussion, and more, at the touch of a button. Its 256-note polyphony provides sufficient playing complexity and accuracy, making it particularly well-suited to more difficult sections or orchestrations. The Symphony Concert also has a responsive 88-note Fatar graded, hammer-action keyboard, as well as multi-colored keyboard LEDs for integration with internal functions and educational software, for improved performances and feel. Use the Bluetooth wireless capability, the built-in USB port, or the stereo aux input jack conveniently located near the music rest to listen to music or audio from your phone or tablet. Bluetooth wireless MIDI allows you to link your computer, tablet, or phone to the internet. Connections to computers via a USB device and host interfaces are also possible for DAWs and apps. Lastly, this model includes a padded bench that complements and gives any room a vintage style.

Symphony Concert User Reviews:

Jamey from Nederland, Texas (review on Guitar Center): “This is an absolutely fantastic piano that sounds great right out of the box. It’s a hit for my daughters. The sound is genuine and engaging. It’s a treat to play. Within a week, they had raised their game to a new level. It was simple to put together and arrived in excellent condition. To top it off, the quality is exceptional. We haven’t even begun to touch the surface of what it is capable of. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.”
